Piccadilly Theatre, London
Piccadilly Theatre, 16 Denman Street, London, W1D 7DY
Large Theatre (1232 seats) and has a good selection of Wheelchair Spaces. They are all in the Stalls Rows D, K and N.
We attended to see Moulin Rouge. We arrived early, as we had hospitality. We entered via the Access Entrance and we were escorted across to the lounge. We did have problems with Security,as we tried to explain we had Hospitality but they were just leaving us outside. Hospitality opens 90 minutes before thee show starts and Access to the Auditorium is not until much later, so it took some stern words before they seemed to get the message. As soon as the staff realised, they got the Access Host. This did take about 20 minutes though.
Once in the Lounge, which is Accessible, but I suggest that you advise them when you book, we had a lovely experience. We were even treated to a Dessert Board by the manager to make up up for the problems we had encountered trying to enter. The Lounge is on the Ground Floor and the Stalls are lower Ground, but it was no problem for the Access Host to escort us to and from the stalls, even during the interval. There is a toilet in the Lounge but it is not an Accessible Toilet.
The view is excellent in the stalls, we had only ever had sat in Row D. However Row K is nearest to the entry and exit, so that is also a good place to sit.
We couldn't fault the staff at the actual theatre so rate this as 9/10.
